Play this old 1992 classics game, an upgrade from the 1990 version. Relieve old memories of survival and despair! As a covered wagon party of pioneers, you head out west from Independence, Missouri to the Willamette River and valley in Oregon. The Oregon Trail is an older, very popular computer game that was developed by Bill Heinemann, Don Rawitsch, and Paul Dillenberger back in 1971. It was then put out on the market in 1974 by MECC. The game is simple and was created to teach school children about the life of a 19th century pioneer on the Oregon Trail. Play this old 1992 classics game, an upgrade from the 1990 version. The Oregon Trail is a computer game originally developed by Don Rawitsch, Bill Heinemann, and Paul Dillenberger in 1971 and produced by MECC in 1974. The original game was designed to teach school children about the realities of 19th century pioneer life on the Oregon Trail.

How to install and play the game
The file you are downloading is a special package created by GamesNostalgia so that you can easily run this DOS gameon Windows Vista, 7 and 10, without any additional effort. The archive includes the required emulator (DOSBox) and it's already configured. All you need to do is uncompress the ZIP or 7z file into your Games folder (e.g. C:OldGames),then open the folder of the Game, and double click the icon 'Name of the Game' (it's a '.bat' file).
